{"id":93,"date":"2013-05-13T13:29:29","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T12:29:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jugu.org\/gblog\/?p=93"},"modified":"2013-05-13T13:33:08","modified_gmt":"2013-05-13T12:33:08","slug":"reflections-on-week-14-intro-to-design-studio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jugu.org\/gblog\/2013\/05\/13\/reflections-on-week-14-intro-to-design-studio\/","title":{"rendered":"Reflections on Week 14 &#8211; Intro to Design Studio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Positives &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>I like the project and I am delighted to be in a well-balanced and proactive team.<\/p>\n<p>The concept of the Design Studio seems to be well thought through, rather exhaustive in structure. \u00a0The emulation of an artistic design studio is a good idea allowing peer review and input to achieve the best outcome without sacrificing individuality. \u00a0The process design seems to allow all team members to contribute their experience.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns<\/p>\n<p>Is the process exhaustive or exhausting? There is not much room for instinct, flair and unconstrained brainstorming. Not technology-led but certainly rigidly process-led. \u00a0Having part of the assessment on team process is good but it deters regarding the rules as guidance rather than decrees.<\/p>\n<p>As in Block 1, the required sequential team actions do not really accommodate the reality of different availabilities during the week and weekend, though we are coping.<\/p>\n<p>Verdict<\/p>\n<p>Positive so far. \u00a0I will interested to see if the rigour of the process produces the perceived best result.
